You are right - notice the ear muffs the people are wearing. This could be the late fall boat, the flame doubles as a hand warmer.

Now thats cool...and nuts! I know nothing about those engines but how the heck did he hook that up to an outdrive? Lots of RPMs or all torque?

The output shaft of the turbine goes through a gearbox to reduce the rpm to a manageable speed for the Mercruiser sterndrive.

it also has a disc brake on the output shaft to slow the shaft down enough to safely shift the outdrive

I thought he had another one on the build? But then again I stopped following his post about this boat 8 years ago. That was the last email from him.
