Title: Glastron Pictures from the Past
Post by: David CVX-16 on December 31, 2017, 09:02:20 AM: The winter months are long, and we need to be reminded of the summer days boating on the rivers and lakes. Why not post favorite pictures of our boats from the prior year or past years that we like. Just a picture(s) with or without narrative.

Don and Bev took these on White Bear Lake back in 2013.

Post by: catchnedge on January 02, 2018, 04:18:59 PM: Our first boat was a 1976 Crestflite V-184. She had the original 85hp Mercury when we bought it, but was very underpowered. I got a great deal on this 1992 Merc 115 new (was a few years old, but never used)... man, what an improvement. Of all the Glastrons I've owned, I have to say this hull had one of the best rides at speed. It never did porpoise, cut through waves really good, and when trimmed up you could feel it accelerate dramatically. It was a fun boat and great for the kids to grow up on!

Post by: CVX Fever on January 03, 2018, 03:27:38 AM: Here's the Glastron I grew up with, a '71 GT160. My dad bought it brand new, probably wasn't more than a couple years old in this picture. It spent many weekends out at lake Waconia. Usually the fastest boat on the lake. ;)

#1 is listed as Art and his first wife 1965.
#2 is LA boat show no date, looks like early 70's by horn boxes on decks.

Saying goodbye to the little blue boat we have loved for over 5 years now, but the cool thing is I gave it to my son. maybe he might be nice and trade me back once in a great while. lol.
