bad day at the lake
« on: May 21, 2012, 09:47:37 PM »
Decided to take the carlson out Saturday afternoon, great time until it started raining, by the time we got to the dock it starts hailing....When I got the trailer in the water winds were at least 40 mph, failed to drive it on the trailer, fell off the trailer, leg spranged, bleeding, finally got it loaded and ready to pull it out but forgot to raise the motor.  Went back to tilt the motor and got nailed with more rain and hail.  Drained at least 10 gallons of water out of the back, dodged lighting tring to cover the boat.  Drove home with a bath towel for a shirt...

Spending an afternoon with my 12 year old son....priceless.....

When I got home wife said "I told you it would rain".

Tell me adout it, us old people don't heal as fast as you kids do.

Let me know your schedule we can caravan over on Friday, we were planning on leaving around 9:00...

Does the saying: "A bad day at the lake is still better than a good day at work" still hold?

Or: "When it rain's it pours"?

That is all really bad news. Hopefully nothing was damaged too badly.
