ladder for CV-23....
« on: May 22, 2012, 11:48:44 AM »
my ladder was "removed" by the prop (trim up when trailering - turned left & it tore off ladder! (can't believe ladder was in range of motion of trim)...any suggestions on a good replacement (would like to put one under the swim plateform, but that looks like it would be hard to mount properly)...

...so, anyone ever try one of these jobbies?

..thought they were junk but the reviews don't look too bad.

Thanks!

Got one with an old 15 foot tri-hull ...
Did not work well for that boat, not sure how it would work with a CV.
I've seen them on Craiglist for under $20,  cheap enough to "Give a try" ...

I got one like that but it's kind of home made from the previous owner. Takes up too much space in the boat so we just climb in on the lower unit or outboard engine! Just watch your toes!

Jason, that's the way I got into Burnin Daylight for about 15 years.  As I got older my legs and arms seem to get shorter, so red mounted a flat mount flip down 3 step telescoping ladder on the back step platform.  Sure is alot easier now to get my fat rear out of the water.

that's how I get in now, but the end is definitely in sight  :'(   . Does your new ladder mount underneath the platform or above?  Ideally I'd like to mount one below so I don't have to put the ladder over the teak wood.

Thanks

I lost the bottom half of mine the day we bought it, it must have came loose driving down I-94.  I've been passively looking for a replacement bottom. Gregg if that one doesn't work for the CV, it might for my V-184

Ladder came with a 1976 15 foot Marquis tri-hull, didn't work well on my V-156 also ...
No way it could work on the CV ...
