There is a bridge similar to that at Boonville, MO but I don't think it's that long.

Both wrong, but it is over the Mississippi. It does have a HUGE span. I think because the barges need to make a 90 degree turn in the channel just north of the bridge.

I believe this is a bridge in Iowa. I think it is the Lansing, Iowa crossing known as the Black Hawk Bridge that crosses from Wisconsin into Lansing, Iowa on Hwy 82.

Lansing Bridge. The east pier is often hit by river barges. Tom from La Crosse. Fun to drive over the grated steel decking on a motorcycle. This style decking is supposed to be lighter weight, and allow the snow and Mayflies to fall thru.

Growing up in eastern Iowa, we used to run up to Prarie du Chien, Wisconsin a LOT. Sure looks like that bridge to me? (Of course that was a long time ago!)

Lansing Iowa is right!
We were down there for memorial weekend. Beautiful country. Steep bluffs, small towns, and great boating water. Nice thing is that the high water levels we had in the twin cities this last weekend did not reach Lansing........yet.
I like the comment on the mayflies! There were plenty of those. I imagine the fishing was not too good.

I love the pic of your awesome green metal flake right next to the vibrant green of the fields. What a great shot!
