family just got a lake place, so now we got a boat, gt150 project

haven't actually started yet, i got it from "green with envy"
they got all the rotten wood out and now its mine
makin room in the garage and lookin for a motor (project of course)
any motor advice ?

but i did find a 66 johnson  85 hp project

Is that how you pulled it down the road? I think I remember in Allan's ad that he made that cart for it. Bet that was a nail biter of a drive home!

yea cart is cool allen made that
i just picked up a 66 80 hp johnson
now i just need to buy some resin and get stickie :P

thanks, i will take  you up on that, first i need to figure out what what materials to get.
iv already read so many poly vs epoxy debates, here and elsewhere.
anyway tryin to figure out what i need and where to get it, so any suggestions would be great.
i have some cabinet ply to use

EXPRESS COMPOSITES only place you need to go...they'll get you all set up, several guys in the group (myself included) got resin and glass there.  They'll give you step by step instructions and imo don't try to sell you too much.

Express Composits helped me out a lot with the gelcoat work too. Not sure if you need to get into that too but they specialize in that also.

Express composites is where I got the Carbon Fiber cloth when I made the inlays for the Magnum Missile.......They turned out ok but I learned a lot and expect an improvment on the next pieces I make. On this boat they make up the name plates, the dash and the forward deck(missles came original with a 6x3 foot mahogony deck filler)

I bought some of my supplies there got my resin at fleet farm it was about 20.00 cheaper a gallon and it is alot closer to my house
I think this has become an addiction.
