12th Annual Classic Glastron Meet Update.
« on: May 27, 2019, 08:58:59 PM »
A few of you may have heard Summer is no longer managing TI Marina. With that comes some changes. The weekend of the meet is a very busy weekend with big name concerts all weekend. They are allowing the bigger boats to park on the beach on the concert weekends. However the spots are first come first serve. If you are paying to stay at TI you can still park for free on the beach otherwise its $50 a night. However as I mentioned there is no reserving spots and while we are out during the day someone may take your spot. I am working on seeing if we can get an area reserved for just us. Also at some point this year the beach is supposed to be extended so it is the same length as the docks. This should help but no set date.

I already reserved three 50 ft slips that we should be able to park 6-8 boats in depending on sizes. It is $25 per boat per day to park in the slip. If you want to make sure you have a spot to park I would call now. If the beach is full you can always pull your boat and park it back by the trailers.

I will let everyone know more info when I find out more. I was told all of this when I confirmed that the 3 slips were still reserved.
I think this has become an addiction.

The last few years I beached the boat, and tent camped.  Been very lucky to always find a spot on the beach, but I'd also hate to see you get stuck on slip rental if no one uses them.  You don't have to reserve a spot for me, but if you have room, I'll probably take you up on one.  Thanks for the consideration.

So if I had talk to Summer about slop rental and she put me in one of the ones you reserved can I still assume it is on the list. Or do I need to call somebody.

Same ? For me... we have the hole fam damily coming and I would like 4 spots for 2-23’s, 1-18, 1-15. Should I reserve slips from you or should I call the marina?

I thought that you had reserved a entire slip for yourself other than the one's that I reserved? I am planning on stopping today to speak with the new manager.

I stopped today but the new marina manager was in a meeting. I will be at TI later this week. I am hoping to sit down with him to discuss the meet and our schedule.

I have confirmed that there is 4 slips reserved for me/ Glastron Group. They are 50 ft long and 16 ft wide slips so we should be able to fit 6-8 boats in each.
Currently on TI reservations list Terry C has a slip of his own and Jeff R has his own slip.

I did not recognize any other names, however it doesn't mean you don't have one I just didn't see it. If you have already reserved a slip or want to get into the group slip post to this thread or PM me.

I will be confirming the reservations with TI and keeping track of the reservations for the group slip.

The marina is full and the only slips available are the group slips at this time. They are $25 per boat.
I think this has become an addiction.

I would like to reserve one spot for the 23.  Is the campground still under water or has it gone down?

Spoke with the marina over the weekend and I have four  48' slips reserved.  I have them all in my name so contact me to get a slip spot if they are not filled before the week prior I will let TI rent them out to others Depending on boat size we should get 6 boats in each slip. Slips are the at the head of C dock so no long walk to the end. The are also on the outside so they are close to the boat ramp as well.

I will get a list put together of who has contacted me to confirm the their spot.
I think this has become an addiction.

So here is the list of people that have contacted me so far for slips. Am I missing anyone?

Slips are 25 per night per boat. If your on the list please let me know what nights you plan to use a slip. That way we dont have to pay for them if we don't need all 4 for each night.

The slip number your name is listed on is not set in stone and there may be some moving around if we need to to get more boats in. We can hang out of the slip some just not a lot so that is why the numbers are what they are.
I think this has become an addiction.

What's the river look like up there right now? We still plan on bringing 3 boats from Missouri again this year. The Mississippi by us down here is 13-15ft above normal pool. Just wondering if it'll still be flooded next month.

I’ll be out there tomorrow but it’s about normal. I’d guess maybe 1-2’ above normal. A bunch of heavy rain can change things quick though.

Looked on CGOA site and it said nothing about meet this summer - other members I know were thinking there is no meet.  Now that I am in the forum, I see there is a meet, however, scanning through forum, I can't find a date.  Maybe I missed it.  Please let me know dates, and I would suggest that info be posted on the CGOA site.

Thanks,

Jim
