Have always wanted to do a Roadkill project like they do on the online Roadkill show with junk classic cars, but with a boat instead. Guessing its a 1979 but have seen ones on line they say are 1978, so dont know for sure yet. I picked up for $200 an would add a motor and hope to have on the water with not much more than $500 total investement. I found a 1978 140hp tower of power (from old fishing boat) even though never was a merc fan, for $175 but might be able to get for less. No power trim for now, but throw in a quick floor, couple seats and gas tank and see what it will do. Any members ever try something crazy like this?

Flake looks bad in last picture ... But parts are all there ...
Check right side of stern for serial number / year.
Check wiring on the old Merc .. problem area

Wouldn't be the first Glastron rat rod I suspect. Not that they are Glastrons, but plenty of boats around that fit that description. Could be a fun quick project, just plan on having a buddy boat with tow line just in case, otherwise could be paddling home.

yes will definately check the wiring out, the guy said its complete and looks good but you never know. I figure cant go wrong for the price, it was supposed to have ran when last used a couple years ago. Sure carbs need gone through for sure. Will get the hull number and we can see. The flake is pretty rough, but in both cases on my cv27 and 82 metric just 600 grit was suprised how well they came back, hope this is the case.
