Is there anything in the works for 2014 t shirts?
-
Checking...I thought so, but I can't remember now.
-
I thought so too
-
OK, so, because shirt orders have been so low, Chris was planning on skipping it.
-
:-(
-
There is always the new shirt with the CGOAMN logo. http://www.cafepress.com/cgoamn2 (http://www.cafepress.com/cgoamn2)

Ordered one.

I was going to make a shirt design for Joe... wondered if anyone else would want one, and if anyone has good quality vector images of the logos... I'm looking for the scripty one (blue on black), and the G (on white)... I found the ones on the forum here, but from what I can tell... they are .jpgs and on white backgrounds, etc.
-
I do not have any vector images for any of the logos. Wish we did!
Its on the list of post-Red Wing things to do.
-
I only have PNG's ...
Full size is 1440 x 1080, second one is 1062 x 497.
Could email them to you ....
-
please email, I'll see if I can use them...

I was looking for these two in vector:
-
Sorry, originals came in .png format...no vector.
Sent from my Windows Phone using Tapatalk
-
ok... thanks. I can do 'em up vector-style...
-
Give the project to Joe, he can do anything.
-
It's true! (Although I am more likely to be doing graphic design than he is)
-
There is a program called inkscape that is free. Youcan take regular images and convert them to a Vector. You usually have to do some cleaup on the image but it can be done.
-
Will we be able to order them thru cafe press?
Let us know when we can place a order with the design with the 7th annnual rally logo?
Thanks
-
Yep, I'm ready to order one as well.
-
I use illustrator :-). Will have to check out the other software. I can put it on cafepress (or elsewhere?). Can usually find discount codes on retailmenot. Will probably have it done tomorrow.

Sweet

I'm in !

Hey... me again...
I have .png files with several designs, one has Joe's boat on it :-)
I just ordered two gray tank tops for him, and it actually is cheaper to buy two (they have a 30% off sale ends today at 4 p.m. CST, use code FLSH30). One tank came to $25.38, two tanks cost $22.69. Strange!
I wasn't able to set up a "store" so that I could put the files there, so guess you'll have to grab them from here instead. FYI: if you choose a light colored shirt, the "white text", etc. in the design will be knocked out and you will instead see the color of the shirt. If you're ordering a dark colored shirt, they will print the white text/design. Seems like a weird way to do it if you ask me. So anyway, there is a couple of different versions depending on which color you're putting it on.
-
ok, cant put files here :-/
emailed them to Gregg, maybe he could put them on skydrive.
or i can email them to you, send me a message, txt or call
-
Thank you Laurie !
Could some one check to see if link works ...
Thank you ...

The attached pictures below are not the vector img. file, just copy's of them.
-
the link works, but note that the files dont view correctly from skydrive (show up with a black backround) but when i downloaded the one for the light shirt the file is correct.
-
Sky Drive is now "One Drive" and is integrated into my OS, I can drag and drop from "File Explorer" ... SO wasn't sure how well it worked ...
Picture show up looking weird, but down load and look OK ?
-
yep, and the JPEGs look right, there are 2 sets of files, for dark shirt some of the text shows white, and for a light shirt its black.
-
The CGOAMN emblem looks amazing !
Not the vector img. below, just a copy ...
-
That looks great Laurie!
-
Can someone put them in Cafe Press so I can order a shirt.
Great Job Lorie!!
-
I pretty sure Jason has a Café Press already set up.
He could add the design ...

Laurie tried to put them on but something wasn't working right, she just uploaded the images to get mine ordered.
prob be easier if Jason can put them up
-
Laurie -
I have the football G in vector .. give me an e-mail address, I'll send what I have!
-
Over the winter, I'll work on setting up an images/files section on the forums or website. Be nice to host them here directly.
-
Just sent two "versions" of the football G to Gregg for his one-site hosting.
These two will be available there when he gets them up.
-
Did you see the part where there is white text and black text, depending on which color shirt you putting them on? That's why there were doubles of each file
-
Glastron G's are at same link as Laurie's ...

JASON !
I'm not sure ... Jason has every thing in place ... couldn't he just add the design to his Café express store ?
-
i just tried it (don't tell my boss)
i downloaded the vector image i wanted
went to cafepress, go to design your own (on the right) and pick t-shirts
change to tank top (or whatever)
click graphics (on right) and click upload image, selected the vector i downloaded, this took several minutes to load (several steps)
change size if required and click finish, then it comes up with the price and you can select size and qty.
if yer ordering white or lt gray make sure you select the graphic with the black "2014" on the top
sorry we could not get this in the store, Laurie is tied up with some stuff till next week and cant work on it :(
-
So...I'm confused.
Didn't Laurie create Vector formats of the logo's? .PNG's aren't vectors formats...its just another raster format, same as .jpg, .bmp, .jpeg, etc.
A vector format would be .eps or .svg typically, and is of the type that would allow infinite scaling of the graphics with no loss of detail or resolution.
What am I missing...all I see on the download's are .png's?
*please note, I'm just trying to understand...do we have vector images? Laurie's logos are great.
-
i think she made the logo vector (maybe the whole thing) and saved them as PNG files for cafepress.
she was on the phone with them trying to get it figured out, biggest issue was how the handle fill vs ink.
-
sorry thats all i kno right now, she is trying to get ready for a family reunion this weekend so things are kinda nuts now.
i kno you can all relate
-
I will create a separate cafepress page for each design. Give me till the end of the day.
I will have Doran set up a page on the main site with links to each.
-
Thanks Jason !

Thanks Joe...I figured it was something like that... probably just me being a little too techie as usual.
-

We do need a "get the gear" page...
-
Ok, everything can be found on this link. This link is already on the CGOAMN.com "buy glastron stuff" page. Maybe we can just add some more pictures.
I can upload as many sections (logos) as we want to the page. If there are other logos you would like to see on merchendise just send me the picture and I will add it.
http://www.cafepress.com/cgoamn (http://www.cafepress.com/cgoamn)
Maybe we should clean up this thread and only show the cafe press link.
-
one comment, the black text wont show up on the dark shirts, dont know if anyone would want that but there were 2 sets of art work.
and needless to say i ordered the ones with mu boat on them cuz this all started when i whined to Laurie about not having a shirt :)
-
Doran,
CafePress does not use vector images. They're useful to have in the prep stage, but they prefer a .png because it is suppose to be a lossless raster image. They use digital direct to garment printing, so they don't need the vector format for their machines.
Yes, you're techie thoughts are right on infinite scaling - which means when the group needs a sign or banner, we can blow up the t-shirt graphic without becoming pixelated or losing image clarity. The .pdf files I saved have preserved illustrator editing capability, which should allow you to open the file in another vector editing software and edit or scale. The .ai files are the illustrator files and are certainly vector images, and you should be able to open in other vector software as well.
-
Yep, I'm thinking banner...actually I'm thinking a yard banner that could be used at the boat shows you guys attend. Like the Coke one...free standing, add a sandbag to keep it upright...store it up there so it can be used for shows.

Just ordered my shirt!

-
Yeah, cafepress didn't allow for vector,.ai or .eps, etc. If you want/need a file for a banner or something else large, could go back to the vector image and create file in appropriate size (or they may want different file type).

Thanks Laurie. I'll eventually want a Vector file so we can size/resize it to print a banner, sign or something. Depends on how the post meet budget looks.
-
i think mine looks like this

Wow...seemed like the coke one was really small until I noticed the gal standing next to the biggest one lol. Assuming she's not 3 feet tall, these are really big!
-
I thought the same thing. Again, this is only an idea...
