Well I'm all packed up and ready to leave for Kansas City, going to try to hit the road by 4:30am for I think about a 7 hour drive one way to pick up a 1972 CV19 Outboard model. Whoohoo! Gotta get to bed.

Good luck! Let me know when you're on your way back!

Steve, hope the trip is uneventful and that the boat is better than you imaged.

A HAPPY GUY!
An update on Steve's trip back. His running lights aren't working on the truck to trailer connection, so he had to stop in Des Moines for the night.
I'll let him fill in the details tomorrow when he gets back to the TC's, but he's happy! Here are photos...I should have taken some of the interior, but its late, and I'm tired too!

Looks to be in Great Shape! Enjoy!

Looks good Steve. Either way you look at it, it's still a CV19 outboard which is rare in itself. Can't wait to see what you do with it and get it on the water. All I know, knowing you, is that it's gonna be Fast!
Looks like you got a new truck too! Last I remember you were towing with a Blazer.

Congrats Steve! Going to be fun watching this one come back to life again. Still planning a PAIR of towers on the transom? No matter what you do with it it's going to be a unique boat. I am glad you got your hands on it.
-
Atta boy Steve. Cool boat! Looks like it was worth the trip?
Mighty white of Doran to put you up for the night. Ya I'd like to see his boats too someday.
Well ... what're you waitin' for? Get to work ya slacker! Heh heh heh ...

I'm envisioning twin 115 towers... MMMMM... Horsepower! :) However, I would be happy to see a single 175. :)

I have pictures of one with a Johnson 200 or a 225 on it ... was for sale a few years back. I'll have to see where those pictures are.
... edit ... it was a 200.

The big plans are to restore it back to origanal and looking like it came off the show room floor, I do have all the resources to do it. The boat will be regelled and I can get the origanal color flake, last summer I sent a peice of my interior vinyl from up under the dash out to a guy I know that does boat interiors matched it up for me and it is so close so I will be using that. AS for motors im not sure yet, would like to get the boat rerated after every thing is done like having a 2 inch transom instead of 1.5. I think I could get it rerated for 200hp and it should go pretty good, as of now it's only rated for 155hp but in 1972 I dont think any motor manufacturer made anything bigger than a 150hp, mercury didin't start making the v-6 untill mid to late 70's.

Beautiful boat... Congratulations! Can't wait to see it come alive on the water.
