Pankonin, Ida E. (Carlson) age 99, of Roseville, went peacefully to be with her Lord on October 6, 2010. Preceded in death by husband, Ernest; parents, Carl and Amanda Carlson; and all 13 brothers and sisters. Survived by children, Lois (Scott) Meland, Paul (Rosanne), David (Joy); 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Through a lifetime of service as school teacher, registered nurse, wife, mother, and volunteer, she leaves a legacy of love, kindness, and strength.
A message from David...
My mother, Ida, was taken from this earth to her new home in heaven this morning. We three children, David, Paul, and Lois, are so thankful for the memories of my mother, and for the 9 1/2 years she spent at three of the Presbyterian Homes facilities' in Arden Hills, close by for the frequent visits. She died peacefully of natural causes, without pain. Her appointed time had come, and she was beckoned home to be reunited with her brothers, sisters, husband, and her Savior Jesus Christ who she loved and served with all her strength. Blessed be her memory.
Please remember David and his family in this bitter sweet time of rememberance.
