Title: GT150 Windshield
Post by: WetRaider on September 29, 2013, 09:28:19 PM
Anyone here purchase a windshield for a GT 150 through any of the vender resources on the forum?

The PO cut down the sides of my windshield because he was missing trim and made a steeper angle out of it ... now that I've replaced the trim that was missing, choppy water tends to be enough to pop my windshield out of the frame.

I'm curious about cost.  I'd love one out of real glass, but I think that'd be cost prohibitive.

Ooppss, should have read this post first!  I've got the template for your windshield if you want to borrow it Dan, just let me know.  I went with "build your own" out of polycarbonate (1/8") for cost reasons.  Plexi is a little cheaper, but I was told the poly was more durable?  I couldn't find anybody who had one pre-made, maybe you'll have better luck.   ;)

Thanks, guys ...

Mark, I might take you up on a copy of your template ... assuming it's less than 96 inches in length, you can get 1/8 poly in a 2' x 8' sheet for roughly $68.  That's a pretty inexpensive shield.  Given the prior modification to what's on mine now, just about anything would be better.

Gregg, was that price for glass/plexi only?
