Title: Thanks for the add. New 1980 CVZ 18 owner here

Father had a brown 79 when I was a kid (12 years old) and unfortunately he sold it. Fast forward, I am now 49 years and just purchased a 1980 green one in what I feel is in pretty good shape. I am going to restore it and have already learned a lot from this forum.

Welcome! I am in the process of rebuilding a CVZ-18 myself. Please share pictures when you get time.

I had the blue cvz-18 at this year's meet, it is in several photos from the event.   It underwent a full restoration several years ago, and much if that work was documented on this site.  Feel free to ask questions.  Welcome and good luck on your project.

Thank you glad to be here. For sure will post pics. Here I am at 12 yrs old in the brown one and again in the new green one. Going to do complete stringers floor and transom this winter motor comes out in next week or two.

So I have needed Hatch bolts coming as I was missing one but one of the things I would like to find is the rear chrome vents!! I have looked here and it seems finding them is difficult. Does anyone have a source or know of a repro. I have also reached out to the guy in Germany for re produced Carlson badges but have not heard back from him.
