I've heard there's a guy in my area that has a CVX 18 with a punched out late 90's Merc 2.5 hanging off the back on a 10" hydraulic jack plate. The guy telling me about it said they haven't seen the boat in the past year, so no clue if it's still around. Motor was described as having drilled exhaust, a ram air funnel and rumor has it pushing around 275 hp. I'd love to see what the top end is on the CVX with this set up. I've experienced a stock 200 hp 2.5 Merc on a 19' bass boat. I saw 80 and there was still plenty left on the tach and throttle.
