One of the boys now
« on: August 02, 2011, 05:25:06 PM »
I went to my prop guy to get my 3-blade 19p re-pitched to 21. got this off his wall at a really good price. I's 19p, but he will tweak it free if I want. Thought I would try it like this first. may be a month yet.
What ya think David?

Nice find Jerry. The prop is in excellent shape. I assume it is the prop for the 150 HP Merc to go on the GT160.  You will need at least a 21" pitch. Those 2-blade aluminum prop's for Merc's are fast props. You may also consider an aluminum 21" 3-blade prop when you have 3 or 4 people in the boat.

You could try my Rapture if you like.  Part # 993106  13.25x21  MI Wheel.  With 3 people in the pickle with a combined weight of 600 lbs. will pull me up slalom in the deep and doesn't struggle that much, goes well on the top end.

That won't happen. Only room for 2. I am having my 19" changed to a 21"

Yup why not try it as is, then have him tweak it. Might as well. It appears to be in really nice shape!

Bill at "better Parts Co" on 90th st in Bloomington Greg.  He does it as a hobby sort of. The new 2-blade and tweaking the 3-blade was less than that.
