Starter issues

So we're up in Brainerd right now and right as the boat was about to fire, it died, and now all we can hear is the solenoid clicking, no spinning of the starter. Any ideas of what we might try?

Battery is low on juice most likely.

Putting new battery in now, will report back.

Check battery conections and jump it from your car/truck.

Probly an easy fix, offer him half the asking price ...
Ya ... not much help.

Hmm...that's the usual sign of a low battery.  I'd still throw jumper cables on the battery and see if that will turn it over.

Check all connections on the starter and cable ends on the engine. Clean up any corrosion.

Rapped on the solenoid with a small hammer and she fired right up. Will post pictures, hopefully tonight!

Solenoid.

It may just need cleaning.
