Who ended up with my extension cord?  It was powering the coffee pot as I was pulling out on Sunday.
I assume Brian tossed it in his truck.  I had planned on grabbing it myself and letting you know I had it (being I was the own who borrowed it for the coffee maker) but it was gone along with the coffee pot and Brian when we loaded and headed out.

I do not have the band width to upload them here.  I may have to go sit in a McDonald's somewhere and upload everything!

That shot of the 23's lined up is a calender shot if I have ever seen one!!

YES my boat made it to the Classic Glastron Owners Association 2012 meet. Delivered on Friday, on display until Sunday. Although I was at home and missed most of the event thanks to my friends that offered to help get my boat delivered. Thanks to the club members that wanted me and my boat there. 60 to 100 Classic Glastrons from all over the USA for 3 days off boating. This picture was posted as one of the favorites by the club. I was only 1 hour away but, YES it was an adventure. The classic Mustang is maybe 60HP (cool but slow) and the classic boat is 120HP (cool and fast).

Had a great time as usual and Joni loved it too, except for the part when we ran out of gas in front of the barge. I have to say, it was one of the scariest things I've ever experienced. The choices were:
Get it running
Get a tow quickly
start paddling
jump over board.
Glad it eventually fired up.
Its one thing to be in the boat alone when something like this happens but when you have others you are responsible for (woman and doggy) its another thing. I do not want to experience that again, ever!

I totally understand.  I had a problem getting the CVX-20 fired up just outside the upriver side of the St. Anthony Falls Locks.  I had my wife and parents with me at the time and we were 100 yards upriver of the falls.

Let me be the first to say we're very glad you guys are still with us!!! When we were passing that barge, Brian's words about not getting in their way because we would lose and they would miss us kept ringing in my head!   (No...just because my last name is "Bell" doesn't make that "ringing" an easy target pun for any of you jokesters)   LOL   ;)

As scary as that was for you Ross, take comfort in the fact that it has become one of the "highlights" of the stories we've been sharing with so many people about this year's event. Adding in our wake jump where my wife's camera almost flew out of the boat (she dropped it when she raised off her seat), and Brian's dog rolling wake jump, as well as all the other fun we had and wonderful people we got to meet - and I think people we've been sharing these stories with are getting a new appreciation for a fun event and club most of them never knew existed!   :)

I've been editing event video's like mad as time permits, but I thought using something powerful like "Adobe Premier" and other commercial programs that I already had was the way to go so I could title and all kinds of fancy edits, but found that takes way more time than I have available to input!

Since my LidCam already compresses and makes really nice resolution videos, recomposing is just a waste for my purposes(my opinion). Found yesterday that I had already downloaded a wonderful (and free) "trimming" program that keeps everything simple, and doesn't lose any video quality. Doesn't allow any frills like titles, and my sloppy camera work & editing will probably still put an insomniac to sleep, but it's more promising that I'll get the videos posted before next year's event this way too!!   ;)

Now (new to me)...to soon venture into that uncharted "posting on YouTube" area!   :)

The 6 gal. tanks seem to run out at the worst time !
Could you fit a 12 to 16 gal. tank under splashwell ?

Jim
Video's are how we make it thru the winter ... LOL
Uploads to " YouTube" are pretty easy.

No kidding.
Maybe, but it would block the bildge/plug. I install this one from the inside. It would have to be just the right size of course. Its not too deep back there.

Slowly but surely the uploaded videos are showing up (shows 13 of my 22 so far at this moment even though all are already uploaded - takes a while to populate the search engines).

Far from professional, but hopefully you enjoy!   :)

I see that the other 4 videos finally made it to the search engines also:

CGOAMN 2012 Sat Boat Parade

CGOAMN 2012 Sat Morning

CGOAMN 2012 Sat Drivers Meeting

CGOAMN 2012 Sat Morning Breakfast

The breakfast video was just for humor of course, but we were having so much fun at this year's event, it seemed a shame not to include it!

Not sure they're worth the praise Gregg's kind words have bestowed on them in light of all the other great videos I've seen so many other members do, but as long as anyone enjoys them, that makes me happy and they serve their purpose!

This isn't an advertisement and I have no attachment to either of these companies, but just to mention that for any of you working on their own videos and if you are ever like I was when I first started this project - getting frustrated with the software you're using (I usually like lots of options and "bigger name" software, but they were getting in my way of just getting things done simply) - the two software's that I recently found by searching and currently working the best for my own purposes are  "SolveigMM AVI Trimmer + MKV" for cutting things up and "Machete 3.8 Lite" for combining video files after they are trimmed. Best part is they are free versions. I actually didn't find Machete until after these videos were already completed, but I still find the SolveigMM Trimmer easier for quick and dirty trimming (but Machete is real close to being as easy and can do both the trimming and combining). Don't know if either of these would work for any of your purposes, but they certainly eased my workload.   :)

I added Vance's stills video to the homepage at www.cgoamn.com. Thought that was a really cool intro to the boats of the club!
