Sadly, we have decided to sell this boat. It has never been available to the public before. My Dad bought this new and it was kept on Big Sandy lake all it's life. This is a "garage find" of boats. It was covered at all times when on the lift and garaged over the winters. There is some minor fading of the color below the cover line but the metal flake and interior are still like new. This boat is all original, with the Mercruiser 470, which is a 170 hp 4 cylinder engine. The engine has never had any issues. The boat sat in the garage at the cabin for 13 years. Several years ago, I cleaned the carb and fuel tank/lines and it started right up. I have since done a tuneup and it runs very well. Only NON-OXY gas has been in the tank since the restart. I don't recall the hours right now, but it has less than 200 !!!
It comes with the original 1978 Calkins trailer with the original bias tires that show very little wear. It has been from the cabin to the cities less than a dozen times in it's 37 year life. I brought it down yesterday with no issues. I cleaned and packed the bearings at the time of the tune up. It does have Bearing Buddy hubs to purge any water intrusion after a launch.
These were taken at the time of the restart at the lake. I will post more pics later. I intend to get it uncovered start it and get detailed pics today.
