July 4th weekend
« on: June 29, 2016, 12:10:41 PM »
What's everyone doing for the long weekend we have coming up.  I will be out at the sand pile on the Mississippi by Treasure Island. We have been camping out there for the last 5 years on the Weekend closest to the 4th. I will have the CV-23 and the big boat out there. Feel free to stop by and chat.
I think this has become an addiction.

We'll be at my folks' lake place, and entertaining Sunday and Monday. You're invited to stop in if you'd like :-)  818 Magnor Lake Lane, Clayton, wi. 54004. There's a boat parade Monday at 1 pm.  And usually lots of good-size fireworks in the evenings.

(Note: map program will direct you to the wrong cabin, we're across from a small veterans memorial...and you'll see the "safari edition" Explorer. Lol)

Once again the weekend got away from us. Maybe it'll happen this week!

We were able to get out on the Mississippi on the 4th. Pretty tuff with just the four of us now. Try driving a boat holding a 16 month old while steering, throttling, trimming, and preventing little fingers from honking horns and starting a running boat! Still a prefect day!

Got the grandchildren out for the first time on July 4th. The granddaughter quickly discovered the horn and the motor tilt button.

putt putt. We downshifted a few gears from Glastron speed for the 4th.  It was fun to get her out again.  Hope you all had a good 4th.
