New addition to the family
« on: September 27, 2016, 08:59:00 AM »
Hey all,

Turns out that being bedridden gives one way too much time to lust over boats, and I'm happy to say that one finally got the better of us and has been added to the group!   :)

Mike drove up north last weekend and snagged that CSS-19 with ~40 hours on it, and although I won't be able to actually see it until next year (still in the recovery facility) I'm super excited about the acquisition.  The CVX-18 is a great boat, but we've both been wanting something that will do a little better on the typical chop of White Bear Lake.  The 18 is an unbeatable ski boat on glass, but can be downright painful when it's windy or there are wakeboard boats nearby.  Plus, this will give us a chance to do some long-overdue enhancements and resto to the 18 so we can bring it back to its former glory over the next couple years.

We are in need of a place to store it for this winter, so if anyone has any space or leads on a reasonably priced spot we could park it, please do let us know.  Look forward to showing you all in person at the meet next year, if not sooner!

Tom I will keep you in mind for next year if you think you will have room. I just reserved a spot up in Osceola the other day. I usually store the snowmobiles in the summer as well.

Congrats as well Scott. Hope your feeling better every day.
I think this has become an addiction.

Thanks very much guys!

Michael - those were added by the PO, but seem like a good idea to me.
Gregg - yes it is.
Tom - I appreciate that and will give you a call this evening if that's alright?

Can't wait to see you all again!

The ultimate barn find. There are still gems out there just takes a lot of digging. That should give you a lot to look forward to. Good job. Speedy recovery.

The boat purchase will make your spirits even higher. Your journals on Caring Bridge are inspiring. Always loved the styling and lines of the CSS-19.
