Mercury 800 value?
« on: July 14, 2017, 08:33:10 PM »

I have a neighbor that has a Mercury 800 (about 1979) with tilt and trim, the motor is questionable but the tilt and trim works good. What is the value of the engine and at&it as it sits?

I purchased one a few years ago with a bad cylinder For $100, sold the LU for $175 and had the trim listed on CL for $250 and sold what was left for that. I had it listed for a long time before it sold at those prices. Hope that helps.

The LU should physically fit most late 60's to late 80's inline 4 and 6 cyls. (Gear ratio 13:30) and should be worth $200 to $300 in working order.
Would think a working T & T system would be worth about that also.
