Big Changes Coming - Non Boat related

As most of you know, Amber and I are licensed Foster parents. Our phone has been pretty quite since we got licensed up until Monday August 21st. On that Monday we got a call for a 9 year old boy named Hindryk that is up for adoption in Mc Cook, NE. He has no health issues, mental or physical, and is a normal kid. We told our specialist through our group that we would like to meet Hindryk and see if we hit it off.
Well after waiting almost a week we finally hear from his case worker and get contact information for his foster parents to set up a time to meet him. So on Saturday August 26th Amber and I made the trip to Mc Cook, NE to meet Hindryk and his Foster Parents. We arrived at their place around 2pm. Hindryk was very quite when we showed up but it didn't take too long for him to warm up to us and start talking. We came to find that he loves boating and tubing and he had several questions about the age of our boats and what we did when we are on the water (btw, he thought Phoenix looked cool). After some more question and answer he wanted to show us his room and some other things. So in the house we go and after a few minutes his foster mom takes some pictures of us 3 together, having fun and without a word she goes outside.
So after about 30 minutes of being in the house Hindryk decides he wants to go to the skate park in Mc Cook. So he asks his Foster mom if we can go to the skate park and she looks at Amber and I and says that we can take him. He asked us several questions about our house and also asked what his last name would be if he came to live with us.
I had not looked at my phone since we arrived at the house, so when we got to the park I decided to look and it was already 4pm and my first thought was boy did those 2 hours fly by. We spent about a hour watching him ride his skate board and just goofing around at the skate park then headed back to the house. Oh, just to let you know I got a hug from Hindryk while we were at the park just out of the blue so the bonding between Hindryk, Amber and I is going great at this point!
So we returned to the house and played with Hindryk and talked to his foster mom for the next hour. Hindryk was playing with a garden hose and in a hot tub and guess what I ended up soaked from head to tow. Well 6pm rolled around and Amber and I decided it was time to make the 3 hour trip home. Amber and I both got great big Hugs from Hindryk and we both got a Hug from his Foster Mom. We stood around a talked a little more then Hindryk thought of something he wanted to show us real quick before we left. We said our good byes again and asked him if he wanted to come stay with us over the next weekend. We got a big Yes out of him.
Amber contacted his Foster Mom Sunday afternoon to see how he was doing and we found out that when he woke up Sunday morning all he could talk about was the time he spent with Amber and I.
So at this point in time Hindryk and his foster parents are going to meet us in Grand Island to go to the State fair with us on Friday Sept 1st. He will get to spend 3 nights with us and we will take him back Monday Morning. If everything goes well over labor day weekend, he should be living with us full time within the next two weeks and the adoption process will begin. We have already notified our specialist that we want to adopt Hindryk and she was going to inform his case worker of this.
If everything goes well our adoption of Hindryk should be completed within the next 6 to 9 months.
Due to laws I can not post pictures of Hindryk until the adoption goes through sorry.
