Doug, I’d prefer to give money to you. Any leads on getting it heat pleated down near you? I found at least one place in NJ but haven’t contacted them yet.

Not offhand but I'll look into it. Do you have a style/color #?

Familiar with Morbern. Use it all the time. I'll check into cost, availability, pleating, etc on Monday.

My cost $13.95. Only comes in flat. Far as pleating I dunno.

Fyi that price is from my local distributor, Action Upholstery, in Sarasota. Miami (Corp) wanted closer to $17 bucks a yard.

Could probly arrange to have it drop shipped. But if I were you I'd shop around. Gotta be a honest canvas cushion guy closer to you than me? Morbern is a BIG company. Their chit's everywhere.

Thanks. I’ll look locally. There’s a huge local fabric place, I just haven’t made the 30 min drive. It’s like walking through that warehouse from Indiana Jones. Hopefully the backing is polyester and not a cotton blend so it can be heat pleated.

Well, I got as close as I could with a fabric match and I’m calling it good. Slightly darker than the original that was never exposed to sun. It’s a discontinued color, and only 16 yards left that I could find. 10 goes off to get pleated, and the extra 6 is for the rest. Original color on right, replacement on left.

I'd say .. Close enough !
I got 5 yds. pleated , 4 yds. plain & 18 yds. welting.
Had a lot left over.
Better to much .. then not enough ...

I'm hoping that there will be enough scrap on the side for the thin and thick welting. If the guy that did my CVX-18 will do this CV, he likes to make his own anyway. Slowly ticking away at this project. I'll be in full swing when I can open the garage door and let some fresh air in. Ready for spring!

Looks like squares are larger on side panels, then they are on sun pad / engine cover.
