Not sure why its taken me so long to register on this board. I read it daily and have been on the cgoa board as "cole455" for several years now... I live in NC and have a 79cvz, a 79 gt150 and half of a 79cvx16. Additionally, my dad is still the original owner of his champagne 79 cvx16 that's still in nice, original condition with its original 115 merc. I fly a Learjet for an individual that lives in SD, so I really spend the majority of my time close to most members on this board. Unfortunately I stay in a hotel so I can't really bring a boat out with me :(
Anyway, looking forward to contributing to the community

Welcome to CGOAMN !

Welcome, I am planing on going up to Lewis and Clark lake near Yankton, SD with my V-179 sometime this summer. Maybe you could meet us up there if you are in that area. Get you out of the hotel room.

Sure! I'm assuming the cvz will still be in rehab? Nice score, you'll enjoy it...

Great, I will PM you when we figure out what weekend we will be there.

Ah,
I just joined this site as well after reading it a bit for a year. I'm on the CGOA site as well. I see both our cvx and gt150 are yellow and gold. My cvx is yellow and orange. I don't see many of the yellow hulls. Your cvx looks great. I tried uploading pics of mine on here, but the pics are too big for me to download.

You could email them to me and I'll post them . . . It's in my profile.
Or get a photobucket account, which will resize for you . . .
Then you can post the [img] tag . . .

Welcome, Tom... I just joined here too, looks like another valuable resource to maintain these old classics. Yep my gt150 and cvz are a matching pair. I haven't seen but a couple cvx's in yellow/orange like yours. Beautiful boat.
