Yet another milestone. Windshield's next. I have to jack up my upholsterer and get it to the letterer, then I can dig into the motor.

Thats lookin good.............what is the overall length from the dash to the leading edge of the splashwell?  Very cool project.

What you see is what you get. It's been almost a year, and I still have a bunch to do if it's going to be ready for Iowa in June.

Picked up my windshield frame from my old buddy Roger Sando at Metals Joining Lab. Roger worked for my back in 1970, but dispite that went on to become a very successful businessman. He can weld anything but a broken heart.



I had to stretch it out 2" to get it to fit the shorter windshield.
There that should work.

making the upper frame wider was a good move Jerry, makes a cleaner line, I'm glad you decided to maintain the low profile windshield, I think that is a cool look, however,  I did not cut upper the frame too short, but it sure makes for a cleaner line with the wider addition your buddy made.

actually it took 2". Now make a template and see if I can bend something.
I had to cut 2" off each end so i had some material.

hey Jerry,  I've spent some time this morning looking for that other cap,  I was sure I seen it since you picked the boat up, but I may have been dreaming.  When I got that boat there was not a windshield or frame on it, after that, I bought a CV-16 for the windshield, and the bow section to replace what I cut out, thats when I realized that the GT-160 and the CV-16 bow were not the same, and neither were the windshield frame, a little too short, and dfferent mounts, but there were one of those caps I found in the boat when I was cleaning it out, but I thought I had found another one, but it seems the more I think, the more I forget.
