I've added another but its not a Glastron. Dont hate me. Its a project and the price was right. FREE!
As some of you know Don (Retro Performance) is retireing and is thinning the herd, offering up parts etc. I couldnt resist to add something to my "to do list" I am not happy unless I feel overwhelmed.
Anyways this is off in the future if and when I finish the V175, 67 Surfite and re-do the V163, probably in that order. I truely feel I have acquired some kind of disease where I just want to surround myself with boat stuff! Old boats, motors, outdrives etc.
So what I have is a Hydrostream Viper. I dont know what year as I have put no time into investigating since Sat when Don and Mrs. Retro (Bev) paid me a visit.
It was a real pleasure meeting both of them and Bev is into this whole boating thing too. What a great woman. Don you are a lucky guy and I think you know that. Bev drove while dragging the ol Viper up to my place, backed the trailer up all by herself (Don and I were BS'in) and unhooked it from the truck with no tongue jack. I did offer to help but it was too late.
He sure knows his stuff and I hope you stay involved in the club Don. You ONLY have 2 Glastrons out of what...15-17 boats! Thats good enough. Anyways we were thinking about having a beer or 3 but they had to go. Off to drop a wiring harness to Tom Lund.
Oh and this all started out with a OMC stringer outdrive Retro was getting rid of. I dont know what I'll do with it but I know when I replaced one a few years back, it wasnt all that easy for me to find parts for. Bonus, I ended up with a parts motor for my 69 Ev 85hp slated for the 61. All good except for a scored Cylinder. It even has tilt!
Thanks again Don.
