UK Glastron GT150s
« on: April 21, 2018, 03:21:25 PM »
Anyone have any pictures of the GT 150 boats that were exported to the UK? I've seen one with a weird registration plate, old Glastron flag medallion on rear sides, black rope cleats and bolted down front windshield. Would like to confirm whats original or not. (See registration pic....)

Looks same as the US model. Just missing the lower windshield trim?

Lots of either weird or incorrect parts besides windshield. No medallion/decal on bow. As mentioned, crossed flag Glastron logo on rear.

Would like to hear from other UK members who have a GT 150.

Did Glastron ship these "knocked down" from Austin and then have Glastron UK build them up?

Forgive me for not being from the UK.

However I believe your boats were cast from molds "over there".

Hahah. Not my boats. Only the pic of the strange boat is from the UK and belongs to a UK friend of mine. Check out the steering wheel! Looks like its from an English Ford.

The extra molds idea may be correct.

Wow! Those are great images and very diverse. The export market was active with unexpected modifications ie: Spanish Football!

There were also ones made in Canada, Tempest, Vanguard and Sunray.
Do a search on Google ...

Would guess same hull / deck molds, but hardware was sourced from different regional vendors, or could have been changed over the years.
There were even China /Tiawan splash's.

Note the bottom boat in last brochure is a splash of a Checkmate or Chysler Charger ..
