Larry's finally back on the CVZ project.

99.9 percent gutted. Will be adding a pad. Got a fresh 225 looper to hang on the back. Oughta scoot purty good.

The outboard version, cvz-19, didn't have a pad?  The cvz-18 definitely does, runs the entire length.

Affirmative. No pad. If'n it had one I mighta kept it.

Good news is we purty much got Larry talked into adding one. I hit him with this line today, "You know if you don't you'll always wish you had" ...

I think it would be a major project to add a pad.  I have faith that you and your helpers can do it.  Saw out the bottom?  Don't forget to lengthen the strakes.
But need to be re-designed like the Ranger Bass boats with a step in the transom and a hook about 4 ft forward.
There's a patent on them.  Google Boat Design to find it.
