Drool Worthy Vagabond Camper Pics
« on: July 18, 2018, 01:01:20 PM »
Hey all, so about a month ago my friend and I had the opportunity to buy an all original 100 hour Vagabond Camper. It had been sitting for about 6-10 years, so we did quite a bit of maintenance over the last month to get her back in the water. Boy was it worth it. Took her out for the first time last weekend, enjoy the pictures!

We were unsure of the transom steps being deep enough, but we do love them.

Those are calendar worthy shots! Very nice. Where were those pictures taken? Love that boat. Send me those pictures full size if you can.

Thanks Jason,

Those were taken at Wilson lake (reservoir) here in central KS. It’s by far the most beautiful in the state, the sandstone geography creates crystal clear water and real sand beaches! Bonus is it’s only a three hour drive from Kansas City where we live. I’ll try to send some the full pictures when I get back home. For now, here’s a couple more.

Thanks all!

Our first outing went quite well. We got one day of full sun, then got to test the cabin day 2 during a round of pop up thunderstorms lol. We still have a couple of kinks to work out, but all in all a successful first test. I don't think we will be able to make it up to the annual meetup as we haven't really gotten a good feel for towing the boat yet.

A good canvas shop can make one for you.  Nice boat!
