Welcome
Can you give us any more clues, when is the last time it ran, was there any symptoms. It sounds like either the engine is locked up, or the upper gears in the outdrive. You could pull the overdrive off and it should be fairly obvious which one it is.

Sounds like a seized motor to me. Could pull cap off top of outdrive to inspect gears. Pretty easy to remove entire outdrive as well if you really wanted to rule that out. Remove spark plugs and look for rust.

If a bar on the crankshaft won't turn the motor, my guess would be the cylinders have rusted and stuck the Pistons.   This is just assuming all was fine, then it went into storage, now it won't turn over.  A bore scope is handy, but not required.  Pull the plugs, put about 50-60cc of penetrating oil in cylinder and let it sit a couple days.  Use the bar to wiggle the crank back and forth till it breaks loose.  Good news is the 140 is a fairly inexpensive and sturdy engine.

One of the mechanics I know here told me that the best way to deal with solid motor is to mix a lite oil with Coke, or pepsi if you prefer and dump that into the bores for a day or so and gently try and move the drive in reverse until you get movement and then put some heavier oil in and continue to move gently on a daily basis for a couple of weeks before trying to test for compression.

Not sure how true this is but I do trust him as he's a top notch mechanic who now works on Formula 1 racing cars.

This is my boat and where my boat started in the forums. This motor blew the #1 exhaust valve after about 5 times out under my ownership.

Its come a long way and its been fun! I still communicate with the previous owner and share updates!
