Popular Mechanics did a story, thought the faithful might be interested. Sorry if it's old news, but first time I've seen the article.

COOL !
We should hold the 2019 meet there ...
-
Call it Gators & Glastrons 2019?
-
Don's Lake X is closer. Besides, he has all the good boats.
-
Great read! Thanks for posting it.

I have been there years ago when Mercury opened it up to
do a test on pollution of the water. They claimed that outboards
didn't cause any problems and wanted to have as many boats at once
show up to test. Never heard anything about it or their findings after.
Guess they didn't like what they found. About 45 minutes from my house.

Mercury has a factory not too far from there in Saint Cloud , been there for many years.

While back I did a Google map search of Lake X, you could see some of the buildings and "Street View" you could see fence, driveway and guard house.
Did you get a "Dialed In" sticker from them Glen ?
-
No didn't get one. Don't think the old boat I had back then would even make
their low speed number.Think it was late 1960 or early 1970,got the Glastron 1975.

When I said all the good boats I meant that you have the refreshing breath of vision to take a wide variety of boats - different manufacturers, different lengths, different hull types, different sizes of outboards, and make them into first class runners. If you listed all your boat restorations, we would be amazed at the number and variety.
