Well Mr Gregg,
You were running that boat for years with a significant crack and without a bilge pump..... they don't dry out like we hope after we soak them. I love that this boat is back

How was Joe able to secure the boat? Was the boat on loan to a relative of Greggs?

Transom is cut and glued together
I had a little bit of epoxy left over from the V249, I figure it isn?t going to be a problem with the poly resin because it?s all internal and nothing needs to bond to it. Three layers of half-inch composite with Biax in between.

I?m going to try something a little different for the bilge. Instead of that little Y shape thing to tie the stringer to the transom I?m going to install these two gussets which will allow for an open bilge area so there?s room to put a pump and a float switch.
I?m going to pour the stringer with arjay 6011, the pour will continue in between these gussets.

COOL ..
I wanted to do something about bilge bowl .. but didn't know what to do ..

I filled the bilge to raise the floor to the hole and installed a sealed Garboard style fitting vs the thin brass tube.
Seems to be a common water migration problem.

Transom is glued in and it?s in the garage so we can work while it?s raining this weekend. The arjay showed up today so stringer will get poured Saturday.

Great to see Hyper's old boat getting repaired.......like it should be!

Would have been an absolute shame to part it out.

Good job Joe!
