Hello all, brought my Glastron in to get winterized and spoke with Don - "Retro Performance" who gave me your group information.
I purchased my new 1984 CVX 17 Glastron with 140 Evinrude at the Minneapolis Boat Show. After signing the purchase agreement sitting in one of the glastrons, my then girlfriend and I were tracked down by the Salesman who said he forgot to get a down payment. Since I didn't have my check book my girlfriend wrote a $100.00 check as money down to get the paperwork going.
My girlfriend (now wife with 3 kids) says the boat is hers as she made the initial payment!
The boat has been unbelievable... Youngsters at the lake will come up to me and ask " is that new?" The expressions on their face is great when I tell them it's a 1984!
Looking forward in being part of your group.

Welcome to the club. Very nice cvx! I too am wondering what is the top speed. So far I have gone 51mph with a 13 1/4 x21 Turbo brand prop which will be up for sale soon. It's not the right prop for our boat. And the one that was on it 48mph 13 1/4 x 17. And this one is not the right prop either. I've been thinking of a Viper 19 pitch, or a
Raker 13 1/2 x 18. I think our engines are both v4's 140's ??? Just different branded names.
