Makinwaves had one made, I suspect not custom, but an aftermarket supplier.   He filled it in with color, really looks good.  I'll see if he can post a pic.

Look up RAYAR on the main site. He popped a few while back.

Think Bob Probst said he had a couple originals?

It would be nice if some one would make an aluminum one, my plastic chrome is starting to peel off.

Is someone making them now? As you can see in the for sale section we have been reproducing some emblems. Would be worth a try to reproduce them as well.

Any chance of reproducing these in an emblem?  About 13 inches in length, I could get more exact and better pictures if need be.  It is currently available in a decal form that is very nice, but I would like a few in the raised emblem replica.

So you want the whole thing as one emblem or still put the decal inside the metal/plastic frame?

Never seen a close up of that emblem before, or never looked at it closely ...
Thought it was just a sticker inside a plastic emblem.
WoW ... Built By Carlson ... That's cool !

Is the flag and "G" in the center a decals ?

The frame is made out of aluminum (?). It's metal for sure.

It is a sticker inside the raised emblem.  The sticker is inset about 1/16 of an inch.  I am not sure what it is made of, probably not aluminum as it has stayed shiney . . . hard plastic???  The picture is the original, with original decal.

Here is the reproduction decal, about half way down the page.

Thanks

David

I know that some of them were made of metal as I used to have one myself. I'll see what we can come up with. Anyone out the could take a few pics of one with a tape measure on it (preferably cm of course).

Its made of aluminum and the GLASTRON/CARLSON is printed on a decal. The decal is printed on a chrome type material and is stamped to raise the printing.

This may be one I just keep hunting for an original.  I've called on a few I've seen in the classifieds this last year that look like attached to junk boats, with no luck.  I've been meaning to take a few trips to some scrap yards but just haven't had the time this summer.

The two on the boat are good, I'm just looking for a couple for some side "art" projects.
