Carlson emblems new
« on: August 21, 2015, 07:41:28 AM »
Hey guys, we have also reproduced the Carlson emblems here across the pond.
The guy who made them charges 55€ per emblem as well incl. a 5 year warranty.
Let me know if anyone is interested and I'll be happy to help. As for the shipping, I will be in the states this November so I can bring them myself and have them shipped from there.

Aaron

Thanks Aaron ...
55€ works out to $62.08 US dollars ...

On CGOA you said "More to follow" ...
Any hints on what else ?

Aaron, what kind of lead time do you need on a pair of these?

We are planning on some Spanish Glastron emblems and maybe some others. It all depends on the request and if we have an original we can take measurements and pics from.

He says about a week. I will be leaving Germany on November 16th. So to be safe I'd say no later than November 5th to make sure I get them on time.

Yes they are plastic. How did you manage to break them?

WOW those look sweet! Looks like you left out the rivet holes which is a good thing. I'm guessing you put them on the boat with double sided adhesive tape.  What do I need to do to order a pair?

Yes, double sided tape on all of these.
If you want a set, just send me a pm and we'll figure out the rest.

Which CV emblem are we talking about? Basically we can do them all if we have plenty of pics from the original + measurements.

Honestly I'm not sure how it broke. I have them on with double sided molding tap. Not sure if it was just rough waters or what. But noticed that it was cracked. I still have booth half just haven't put the other have that is off, on yet.  debating on drilling and Riveting.

There was some interest in the Gt150 / GT160 / CV bow medallion disk.
Shouldn't be to hard to reproduce ...

Making it wouldn't be a problem I think. The chroming would be the expensive part I think.

Or just make them and you or who ever got them could paint them silver.
It also has a multi angle edge that could be simplified to just a raised edge.

Is this being done with a 3D printer ?
Seems like a pretty good price for an emblem !

Latest possible order is October 28th.
Of course you can still order them any time but then you'd have to wait for me to get back to the states next year or pay for international shipping.
