Took the CVX out today for a quick run with the 88 SPL. I want to sell it so I headed out and made a quick video of the motor running.
Did my usual 12 mile out and back run and on my way out I was cruising at 43 mph and was soon overtaken by a couple of Allisons. One red and one white. They passed me like I was in reverse.
I turned around and headed back to the launch and about 3 miles into my trip back they were back and we were getting into a NO WAKE zone. The owner of the red boat commented on how cool the CVX is. Quite a compliment from a guy with at $60k boat. We all took off at the end of the zone and they looked like they were fired off with rubber bands. Finally made it to the dock and was talking to the owner of the red boat. He invited me on and got to sit behind the wheel. He scrolled through the GPS and I saw 89 mph. He stated he ran out of river. Can squeeze out 92 -94 on good water.
He was running a Merc 250 XS with a few mods and said it dynoed at 276. The cockpit reminds you of how a CVX is layed out.
