Save the Date - 2016 Meet!!! - August 18-21th

Corrected - The 9th Annual Glastron Classic will be held August 18-21, with early arrivals on the 17th possible.

We hope to see everyone there!!!

I confirmed our reservations for next years event with Summer today.

Camping...
Were booked for the 18th thru 21st. of Aug., and it's OK if you would like to show up on the 17th.
Rates should be the same as last year for camping, launch and slips.

Also talked with Methanie about hotel rooms.
We have 10 rooms reserved, 4 smoking and 6 non smoking.
All rooms have 2 Queen size beds.
Hope your sitting down for this one ...

Rates per night WITH our discount ...
Thur. = $94
Fri. = $174
Sat. = $174

Cool the meet is after my anniversary (the 16th). My better half is resistant to me going on the actual day. Maybe we can come this year!

I'm sure we can stay at a decent hotel for around $100.00.

Yeah I'm nervous about it this year. It backfired on me and I couldn't get up in plane during the last run of the fall. It's still up north for another week or so then I'll be able to look at it. Maybe an appointment at Hannay's to give it a good once over would be a good idea!

I am a fairly new member. Will there be published anywhere detailed info on the 2016 meet? The main site has only the 2015 info. I gather from reading some posts that it will be at the exact same place as last year. Is this correct? Thanks in advance. http://www.cgoamn.com/3.html

The choke on the carb was flipped around backwards so there was no way it was going to turn over!

That and the fuel smell/tank issue was all six stainless screws holding the fill/vent etc stuff to the tank were loose. I cleaned up anything wet and then watched gas ooze out as I tightened the seal. The top of the tank is dry now and I started running water through to wash out any lingering gas.

I'm hoping to get to a lake tomorrow or Thursday for a test run!

Last year I brought the RV and stayed in the concrete oasis, but considering tenting it this year to be a bit more social.  Question is what are the camping rates for us, and do I need to make reservations? I assume slips will be the same as last year.

Not sure how many slip or RV spots are available , so maybe you should do it soon.
