We have a river camping trip planned for next weekend, so we?re bringing it home today and hopefully we can make the last few adjustments and get it cleaned up in time.

Well, I think it?s sound mechanically, fired it up tonight check the advance again, 8?, static 32 at 4000 rpm. Seems to idle decent although the mixture screws don?t seem to make much difference so that?s a little disconcerting. We?ll see Friday afternoon when we launch it.

Interesting issue with the idle mix, but if it idles well, that's generally good enough.    Curious to know how it performs in transition above idle if it stumbles.   How was the carb on the sbc? Hope it goes well
