I tore my ACL and have surgery scheduled for 3 weeks prior.

Man that sucks! Sorry to hear it, but here's good thoughts heading your way hoping for a speedy recovery!

We will be there, but maybe with the FireFlite. I'm doubtful on the GT160. I got a box of goodies yesterday. A bunch of gaskets and seals, T/T hoses, Trim limit switch, and more coming from Sea-Way. The lower unit and Mid section are at the welding shop, the drive shaft is at the gear shop, the Shift-dogs are going to the machine shop so it doesn't jump out of gear. I haven't heard from my Upholsterer, and the guy that's doing the art work is - - - well - - an "artist". Besides that I had to pay taxes yesterday, But I'm happy to do it (I'm a Democrat)

So how many people are signed up at this point? Do we have a good estimate? Just curious! :)

Josh - Assuming you've seen the current head count from Dan today on the other thread on Iowa Events.  I think Dan *might*? be 2 shy b/c ICE (Pam & Jimmy) haven't registered yet...they're bringing their CVX-20 & yet to be purchased CV-23...

"update **
At my count, we've got 42 people and 17 boats.  One person and one boat are a "maybe" ... "

Thanks for all the update info ...

Brian, sorry to hear about your ACL.  If you can make the car ride, what better way to keep recovering that at the lake and on the beach with a bunch of Glastron/Carlson crazies?

Jeff, thanks for your info.  When you can determine how many may be coming with you, let me know - I'm trying to keep a good count so I can get adequate food donated for our get together.

I'd be great to hit 20+ boats for a first event.  This is my first go at planning (or attending) one - so once we get this one under our belts, I can have a more experienced go at it for next spring.

hey Jerry ... I ran that motor on the 18ft Caravelle it was on when I got it, me and my neighbor took it on an afternoon fishing trip on the lake near my house, no problem with it jumping out of gear, the motor ran just fine, but that was about 4 years ago, and you know it has been hanging on a stand ever since, until it got fit on your boat.

Am I supposed to register somewhere?  I'd be glad to. Must have missed it.

There was a little bevel on the reverse dogs. Might as well fix it when it's apart. Other than the impeller that was bad (we knew that) the T/T hoses, the trim limit switch (which turned out to be a $2 spring after I bought a $50 switch) and the schroud mounts, it was in great shape. Everything else is to make it a short shaft, with solid mounts and dual helm steering. I hope it works. I'll have between $2,500 and $3,000 in the motor by the time it's painted and on the boat.

Tim (makinwaves), I've got you down as a maybe with the GT 150.
I'm doing what I can to make the event as free as possible.  I've taken
local donations to get some things covered out here.  For now, the
info I would like to have is your name, the year and model of your boat,
and how many will be coming with you.  Maybe tell me whether you
plan to camp with the big group in the state park, or stay at the
resort.  We hope you can make it.
