I'm restoring a 1974 cv16 and am looking for the end caps for the bottom aluminum rail of the windshield. They are held by a couple of screws. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Chris

There's a bunch of CV16 parts boats on CL right now, that's your best bet. Still have a few bow caps for CVX boats.

Edit: yes, they do fit CV's.

Yep I'm out. Just landed in Santa Fe from Burbank!

I'm getting ready for another run and I'll keep everyone updated but for now I haven't even pulled the pattern off the shelf. Lead time is a few months. Shop is very busy with aerospace and commercial right now and as most people know my little parts are an afterthought.

Talking orders for horn grills. They have been poured and are in the cleaning stage.

The bow cap from the CV should fit any of the CVX boats as long as your rub rail is original.  I have pulled many different bow caps from CV and CVX boats to mold from and they are all the sale and most have actually been marked CV-16 on the back side.  I have had the from CV-16's, CV-21, CVx 16, CVX 18, CVX 20, CV23.  I  have had a lot of them made as well as the windshield posts.

I have been asked to make some of the GT-150 bow caps which are much shorter in length than the CV/CVX caps.  Anyone looking for those?  I will likely order them made next week.  I do not have pricing on them yet.

I have bow caps and windshield frames.  They are still unpolished.  I can match Ray's price if he is out of them.  Mine are sand cast finish also out of marine grade aluminum. I can get them polished but it would take a week or so and add about $50 to a set.

Sent you a PM, Jason. My last set, and they're yours if you want them. After that I'm retiring. The last few parts I have left I'm putting in the spares pile with the rest of my Carlson stuff for future hoarding projects.

I have a couple bow caps left that I'm keeping for myself to modify with LED's for a bow cap / nav light. Should be pretty sweet.

I actually came out of retirement yesterday. So I'll call it semi-retired.

6 bowcaps and 6 sets of windshield frames are in process. 2ish month lead time, most likely 3, depending on the 535 schedule. My parts go with bigger orders, so it depends on what's being made. 535 isn't a common alloy, but it's the best for this application. Plus I'm thinking about having them all polished as well to cut down on polishing prices win a bulk job. Let me know your thoughts on that if you're interested.

I do have horn grills. That's the good news. The bad news is the ones I have left need a bit more detail work to be ready to ship. When I make a bunch of them, I pick the best ones to finish because it takes less time. Now that I'm reaching the bottom of the pile, I have more work to do. If you're patient, I'll have some ready by the end of July, maybe. That's the goal at least.

Someone was making the bow medallions on a CNC machine ... they are really nice. I bought a couple a few years ago.
