GT150 Vent Area Question
« on: November 01, 2019, 02:17:22 PM »
I am restoring the only GT150 I've ever seen/touched in person so please bare with me. In the photo below, I have ordered a black/silver decal that looks like a set of "vents". What is supposed to be there? Mine was painted by it's previous owner, but what was there originally? It looks like a great place to have vents since those could provide airflow to the fuel tank and battery tray when moving. Is this the idea the designers had? Just thinking.

Thanks, Gordon

I've got a set of these louvers for my 2.0L Hi-Po project motor (for a different boat) and they are very nice. They are Stainless and available from Bob's Machine for less than $50 for the pair. These could easily be made to fit that area quite easily. Your thoughts, please. My plan is to have a 12 gallon permanent tank installed just above the bilge area that will require ventilation, so this could be that answer.

Thanks Gregg, those are exactly what I've got coming. I may install some functional vents in those two voids. Gordon
