Title: Charity Ride on Saturday September 15, 2012

As some of you already know my lovely wife Sara is the Special Needs Director for the Boy Scouts.  On Saturday, September 15 (yes, I know that is along wa off) the Boy Scouts are having a fishing clinic for people of all ages with special needs.  She would love for us to come and offer boat rides on Lake Minnewashta (West Suburbs near Excelsior) for an afternoon.

We would launch at the Lake Minnewashta Regional Park and would load people at Camp Tanadoona, both located off of Hwy 41. 

She would be thilled to have five or more boats show up to give rides, no fishing required.

Many of these people have rarely been on a boat and would be very appreciative.

I'll have further updates closer to the date, at this time I am looking to see if I can generate enough interest to commit.

Will probably need to look at the ol' family calendar and it is my step-son's birthday, but if we reschedule a family party for another weekend I'm in!

Guys,

Just bumping this back to the top of the page for next weekend.

As I said before they are looking for a couple of boats to take some disabled kids out for a boat ride.  Anyone with kids I'm sure you can do the clinic with the kids, mine will be there.

Last year we were the only one's on the lake.  I'll post a time when Sara tells me one.  There is a launch fee, but the DNR let it go last year as we are hosting a DNR fishing clinic,  so I think we will be free again this year.

Jim and any else who was planning on comming... This event has been canceled due to a lack of scouts.

Thanks to everyone who was planning on comming out Sara and I really appreciate it.
