Would love to, but haven't had any time (or money) to fix my carb issue. The boat isn't running all that well at the moment and I'll be solo with my three little boys.

sigh... maybe by next weekend or at least by Red Wing I'll be back up and running...

Boats been in the water for 4 weeks straight needs a good cleaning.

Also have a wedding on Sat (would rather be boating)

Hope to make it out Sunday if possible. Anybody interested

Gregg, have to help the wife around the house on Saturday, and Sunday visit my son Philip and his wife Ursala. Does anyone have a weekday off this coming week or in the weeks ahead. I would love to boat on the St. Croix, but not on the weekends. I'm off from work Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Wasn't to bad early today, but traffic picked up after 1:00.
We put in at Afton and went down to Prescott to meet B-I-L and S-I-N, Tracys had his Son and his wife with and there daugther, she had a great time playing in the beach sand, she in the corner of one of the pictures.
We spent an hour or two on the south end of the Kinni then headed up to Hudson to drop off the little girl with her Grand parents.
Spent another hour on the islands at Hudson. and had lunch.
We headed back down to Prescott, they put in at Hubs landing and Carol & I were going to go about that far and turn around and go back to Windmill.
BUT in the Afton no wake Tracy got to far out of the green bouy and hit the sand bar. He was hung up pretty good and was turning up a lot of sand to get out, another guy followed him in and had the same problem.
After he got out his motor was giving alarm buzzing so I towed him to the Afton dock and we drove down to Hubs to get his truck.
AND ... When they dropped off the little girl with GP's they gave them the dipper bag ... which had there car keys in it ... so they had to have some one come down to pick them up ...

When we were sittin' at the Kinni I saw a very nice CV23 drive by ... See picture ...
And when we were unloading stuff from the boats at the landing a guy came up asking about my CV, said he had a CVX, we talked G/C's and I told him about the CGOAMN, said he'd check it out ...

Tracy's boat is a Welcraft Scarab 22 foot with a BIG BLOCK and a Bravo drive, said it would do almost 70 mph on speedo.
Nice lookin' rocket !

Seems like the tow ropes are getting a work out this year - on the St. Croix, White Bear Lake, Forest Lake, and the Mississippi. The water impeller blades got chewed up churning up the sand trying to get off the sand bar. That will take the fun out of the day. But I bet they liked the scenery of the St. Croix.

Sounds like you had an interesting time on the St. Croix! That shallow spot near the kinni will sneak up on ya........Especially when the water is a little low. Still a better day than working right??

I hit the Afton sand bar with my FourWinds but got drive up in time to just churn up some sand ...
They use to live in Prescott so know the river well ... Maybe not well enough though ... LOL
No speed records ... We did about 30 mph most of the time ...
Did get one WOT run, Carol, I and full tank of fuel about 47 mph.
