First I just wanted to let all of you know that I love your site!
My name is Michael Howard and I'm from Oklahoma, the Moore area. Yep tornado alley.
I have a 1974 CV16 Super that I am restoreing, alot of work todo but the hull, transom and floor are in good shape. I will post some pic as soon as I can.

Welcome!

Welcome and grats on the boat. I have one too, and I love it. Always get comments at the lake. Is yours green or purple?
-
Welcome! I love having members joining from outside our area!
-
I seen the pictures of some CV16's and they are really nice. Mine is met. blue with white and white int. It's going to be powered by an 1975 85hp Merc. I am tring to some time off at work to come see your show next month. Do any of you know if some body has a spare molded dash, mine is pretty trashed. I will post pictures tonight. And thanks for the welcome you guy's sound like a fun and good bunch of people. Look forward to meeting some of you if I can make it. :D

We would love to have you join us! As far as the dash, I know steve is getting rid of one of his CV-16's He might let you have the dash if no one else takes the whole boat. You can ask him. His screen name is 74 Carlson
-
I don't think your cv is a 74 unless it has been repainted. In 74 the only colors the cv16 came in is metal flake green/white and purple/white, might be a 1975 though. Sorry I don't have a extra dash but you keep checking on the glastron of the day and you will end up finding one.

Hi Mike and Welcome !
I'll keep an eye open for one or a low priced/free one near you ...
-
Well I checked the ser. number against the title and it's the same, factory blue still has Carlson stickers on it. May be a last of the year model so they used the following years blue. To me all that matters is its a Carlson and I hope some day it looks as good as all of yall's.. Now they look good!

Welcome Mike
You've got a great boat to start with.
-
Thank's. I can't wait to get it on the water. This site is what I have been looking for, there is so much knowledge, help and experience on this site that if I hit anny bumps some body's willing to help.
-
Nice Boat Mike. Looks like you've got your work cut out for you. (Pun intended ...)
My guess would be a late production '74 Super with some leftover SS blue gel ...?
Steve is correct. The '74 Super came in green or plum. But the I/O SS could be had in blue or green. That & the '75 CV16 (No longer called "Super". Sorry.) could be had in blue.

Thank's, none taken besides I know you guys are just looking out for me. I have almost got all the hardware removed, and the windshield is in good shape. Yet I did find a soft spot or two when I removed the carpet, so you know its floor time! Gotta love the glass...Mabe next year I will have my boat up there for a few run's. ;)

I have allways like the blue ones though. Nice boat! Make sure you post pics with progress along the way.
