Title: Glastron Dealer sign from the 1970s
Post by: jaberwocky on November 05, 2020, 10:46:50 AM
I am selling for a close friend a 4 x 6 outdoor lighted 2 sided sign from a dealer in Annandale Minnesota.  The sign works and is located in Corcoran Minnesota.  his plans have changed so it is up for sale.  I am still trying to figure out a value so throw me some offers.

Welcome to the forum jaberwocky !
They come up for sale on CL and eBay from time to time.
Can't remember what the last one was going for, but think it was $250 to $300.
One of our members got one some time ago and might post price he payed for it.
You might want to post a better picture of it.
If your having problems posting them .. let me know and I can help ..

I think I payed $100 for this one. Admittedly though, not many Chrysler’s still in the water so nobody else probably wanted it. . . But me!

The 105 in the corner is just a spare parts motor.

Then this all aluminum 16 foot hand painted sign I pulled off of an old pontoon factory about 15 years ago.  I have a personal connection to this piece and cherish it.  I think I paid about $100 for it as well.

Probably getting off topic at this point, but....

I have a mid-1960s Sea King (Chrysler).....and, there is a guy on YouTube who does nothing but restore these classic Chrysler outboards - pretty cool to see these old motors still running : https://www.youtube.com/user/chrysleroutboarddude

Hey Gregg, I picked this up years ago along with a bunch of other items from a dealer that was closing down.  I think I paid $50-$75 at the time but definitely worth more than that now.  It was used in the showroom so it was never outside in the elements.  I would trade even up with the one listed here though.  :D More in my time frame for Glastrons.

I picked this one up a couple years ago... paid $400. :o.. but it was mint and still in the original box.  Looks great and lights up the hole garage..         then again.. it’s only worth what someone will give you for it.. I thought it was worth it.    ;)
