Newest Member to the "Glastron Cave". Should look pretty good behind the 1967 Mercury Montclair too!

yep, all original. Actually bought it from the original owner. His dad bought it when he was one year old so it has the same kind of story Steve has with his CV16. The engine is original too. Kinda scared me at first as I am not familiar with the old tower of powers but after hearing it run for the first time since last year I was sold. I am pretty happy with it. Nice "practical" boat compared to the CV16SS. And the wife now has seats she can suntan on so that means more boating with her!

Super looking rig Jason, congrats!  Love those merc towers.  That dash is a treasure trove of pristine classic gadgets and love that throttle too.

Cave is getting close to finished. Just need to install the doors, windows, siding, and trim work. Getting close! I am already parking Glastron's and old Mercs in it though!

Jason I thought you wanted a jet??? Plenty of knowledgeable Merc OB guys in the club to help troubleshoot any problems you might have.  Nice find, looks like it's in really great shape. Is that a ski bar on the transom? Gregg & David, step up! ;D

Cool!
Another 67 in the club! Were you looking or just stumble upon it? That is what my seats looked like originally. Looks like it has a "remote controlled" spot like my 175 has/had. Cable is broke. Very nice shape! Congrats! What a find!

Jason, that boat should compliment your CVSS. The V172 has vinyl floors for easy wash down after use, tons of power, fold down seats for sunbathing, floor room for coolers and other items.

I would automatically change plugs, water impeller, fuel diaphram, and lower unit grease. Also run sea foam and power tune to rid of carbon deposits. Welcome to the tower of power club, a club within a club.

Kip, that is a ski tow hoop - high to clear the top of the Mercury.

Yep, it's a ski bar, Kind of an old fashion style but should work. I still want a jet but until the "right" jet comes along this will do. I just really missed my V173 I had before the CV16SS. Nice to have room to move around in the boat.

Ross. That is a remote controled spot light. Cable works but light does not. Probably just needs a bulb.

Still need to get her on the water. At least this one I can use all year long!!
