Up here by Brainerd, I  and my family did a 100 miles on snowmobiles today and it is snowing now!  Winter is still here for this weekend!
Every day is a great day at the lake!

Well, an update on my son.

Fingers crossed, but he may get to come home tomorrow.  2 weeks after the rupture, and a week after a 2nd procedure to drain a infection that'd formed in his abdomen.

We're ready for all of us to be home.  2 weeks is enough.

Next question...the trim is working 'down' only.  Can I interchange the solenoids to see if one is shot?  Assuming so...but again...still in the hospital.

I did run a loop connecting the purple & blue together.

I supposed I'm left tracing wires again?

I had a ruptured appendix too so I know it's not fun, spent a week in the hospital back in 1983 during a snow storm. Glad to hear things are looking good.

Yes, solenoids can be interchanged. Is the solenoid in question clicking when you press "up". If it is then the wiring is fine. If not then there could be a connection problem. Does it click when you press both the up & out buttons or trailer button? The up solenoid is the one with the blue wires attached to it, down has the green wires.

Up (pressing both Up & Out buttons) doesn't do anything...silence...so I'm thinking I have some wires to trace.

Hope the day brings both you and your family better times.  The stress of the operation is surely taking a toll on everyone.  A day on the lake would be the best medicine!! Hope to meet more of the family this summer.

There's talk of them coming.  He still has some risks, but looks like he's turned the corner finally.  They're more the hotel types, so who knows.

On a boating note...the cylinders aren't leaking and did move in just fine, so...those are working!  Just have an electrical issue to solve now.

There are a few nice B&B's around there I stayed at one several years back and plenty of hotels for that matter too.  Ever considered renting a RV for the week?

I'd do an RV if it were economical...are there RV places close?  I don't really want to have to tow/launch the boat, then go, rent, tow in and setup the RV...some of those places will set the thing up for you.

Guess I should look into it.

You could try Andy's Grand Hotel. May be too far?
