Minor damage, major fun.
« on: July 15, 2012, 11:06:40 PM »
Turns out the damage at my dad's place in Grand Rapids wasn't too bad.  Lost four trees, some railing on the deck got smashed, and a small hole in the roof, pontoon might be totaled.  We had a great weekend tubing, fishing, skiing.  On a personal note my dad had a heart attack 3 weeks ago and recovery isn't going all that well and it's been a little hard on me, any prayers would be appreciated.

Prayers are with you. My mom just had a large stroke a few months ago and we are still working threw that. Its tough but be strong. I hope every thing goes well and he can make a full recovery.
I think this has become an addiction.

Listen, I lost my Dad 18 mos. ago to an undiagnosed enlarged left ventricle, which killed him in a sudden massive heart attack.

Make sure he acts on the smallest of symptoms and doesn't let anyone dismiss them.

And get to a cardiologist for a check up to establish a history for yourself.

My prayers go out to you and the family.

Our prayers are with you to Sean.

Looks like you got some time on the water! Texas too! Thanks for sharing the pictures.

My brother had a giant cottonwood tip over a few weeks ago too. I got to help cut that up and know the fun!

Sean - Your dad was really nice to chat with when he rode down to Pepin w/me a couple summers back. Seems like a great guy, we'll say a prayer for him.

I lost my Dad a few years ago. Miss him a lot. Fwiw now would be the time to settle any scores and/or tell your Dad you love him. Cuz ya might not get another chance.
