I never tried triple black diamond "The plunge". I was going to do it a couple years ago on my snowboard, but after seeing it was a CLIFF OF ICE, I turned around....... Glad you manned up to it Doran!

Best part about Lutsen is the views.

Oh, sorry, I used to do 'The Plunge' back in the day.  Not this trip, I meant the huge drop off when returning back to the lodge on the Gondola.

Good choice Jason, I did a double black diamond in Colorado called "ripsaw" (beaver creek) it was ok until the cliff. I tumbled the whole way down, thankfully I was like 13 so I just found my skies and I was good to go.

Yep, still looks the same.

I went down it 1x, making tight half 'S's and stopping...took forever.  I'd never try it on a board...but I'm sure people do it.

I wish we'd stayed another day or 2, but I'm ready for summer already!

Not sure about Lutsen but Afton's ski shop rents high end stuff, not cheap but if ya only go a few times a year it's not a bad deal.

Yep, we got a nice spring deal, $950 for 4 nights + all Lift Tickets incl.  Andy and I own our equipment, only needed to rent Marissa's skis @$60 for the entire stay.

Really nice deal and we're making plans to go back next year.
