My 21P prop is quite similar, probably identical except for pitch.  Came with a pressed in rubber hub.  When I first tested the boat I thought the hub slipped because the boat was doing roughly the same thing as now.  Pressed it out, and fortunately, a new style plastic hub drops right in.  Ran that prop at Rathbun, could not hold the engine, not certain the 25 can either, hit 5000rpm and was climbing.   I appreciate all the advice, maybe test a few at Red Wing.    I noticed the engine is throwing a bit of oil out the front seal, not as bad as it was at Rathbun.   Seal is new, and I rechecked it to make sure it had no knicks.   Wondering if I need to provide some crankcase pressure relief, like a breather system.   Do marine engines generally require such a thing?   Might consider a vac pump over winter when I consider converting to serp belt system.    For now the boat is as ready as its gonna get, looking forward to a weekend of boating and meeting everyone.

If you can find a way to get it from me and get it back to me (I won't be at Rathbun), I have a 22 pitch 4 blade Stiletto prop and a 23 pitch and 25 pitch in 3 blade you can try out. I like the 22 4 blade for my all around prop. For my boat it is about perfect for a loaded boat or for water sports, but will rev a hair high if I'm the only one in it going for speed.  I under stand the wheelie thing, but I can always "power through" it an pop out on plane in my CVX16. I'm surprised you are cavitation props so easy I have to try hard to get one to slip on my boat. My father in-laws Larson will cavitate if you take a corner and look at it wrong though... it's a decent wheelie beast as well.

My CVX16SS came with a 23 on it, someone noticed it at Rathbun 3 years ago, so I looked it up, and it called for a 19.  Bought one and found my RPM too high.  Then discovered the drive ratio was 2/1.   Omaha Marine swapped out the 19 for a 21 and it worked great.   All three props had somewhat different performance features, but all of them allowed the boat to get up on plane quickly.   The 19 almost felt like it jumped out of the water, would have been a great prop for water skiing.  At this point I'm hoping to try out some different props, maybe find one that works well with this craft.   I am still planning to figure out this winter how to make it go negative trim, seems all works well except for the launch out of the hole.

My cvx16ss that I put a v8 into has the 1.5 to 1 ratio because I swapped the drive also when I did the engine swap.
